Everyday Life: Week 16

Damson blossom. Hoping this year will be the year that this stuff actually turns into fruit.

In the middle of this image is a heron fishing. A terrible photo of a heron but I like its many layers: chain link fence, twigs and branches, then reflections in the water, blue from the sky and yellow from the massive lorry delivering or picking up from the plastics factory. This place has the most ugly and the most beautiful elements.

In bloom: Japanese Quince – Geisha Girl.

Evening from my back doorstep. Vapor trails heading to Manchester airport. Sometimes we can hear a distinctive sort of fizz boom sound as planes lower their landing gear.

Sunday walk up Eccles Pike.

A pierced form, just like a Barbara Hepworth sculpture. Only this is a hole carved into a stone gatepost to allow a gate to be hung or a rope to be passed through.
